Helping Today. Helping Tommorow Charity
Corporate Social Responsibility in India is a legal and ethical commitment under Section 135 of the Companies Act 2013. Companies meeting financial thresholds are required to spend at least 2% of their average net profits (from the preceding three years) on CSR activities—including environmental sustainability, education, health, hygiene, women’s empowerment, livelihood, and more. Unspent funds must be explained or directed into government CSR schemes.
CSR now goes beyond compliance: major corporations integrate social and environmental value into long-term strategy, building brand reputation, improving employee engagement, and aligning with global standards like ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) or the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
